'Mosaic artist Cleo Mussi collaborated on one of my first Chelsea Flower Show gardens, and has gone from strength to strength since then. Her work is strong and original, and engages with social issues. She works to commission so can design a piece especially for you.

We teamed up with Denis Milvanov's studio to design bespoke outdoor furniture for a project that we worked on with Zaha Hadid Architects. Milovanov's products are visceral and energetic. I would love to own one.

The annual plant fairs at the famous at Great Dixter gardens near Rye attract the very best UK and European nurseries. I never miss them.

Derry Watkins at Special Plants is always finding gorgeous new things for the garden and has very good taste.

The best garden secateurs I have ever owned came from Suwada, a beautiful shop where you will find Japanese garden tools that are functional and practical, yet look like works of art.

Housed in an old greenhouse within the Victorian Barley Wood walled garden The Ethicurean is my favourite restaurant. Owners Matthew and Iain Pennington make dishes using incredibly fresh home-grown produce.

What Were The Skies Like is a blog by American gardening journalist and writer Stephen Orr.  It is not just a fantastic source for garden inspiration, but also touches on all sorts of things that are related toi teh natural world, from new books on the subject to recommendations for botanical gardens that you can visit.

It is difficult to find attractive, sturdy, hand-thrown terracotta pots for the garden. I first discovered Willow Pottery's producst at a garden centre in south London, so was delighted when I found out  that they are made only a five-minute drive from my home in Somerset. The team also make custom-designed pots to order. '
