Garden Museum Border 2014

28.05.14

It is now over a year since the border at the Garden Museum was planted to coincide with the opening of Green Fuse, the exhibition of Dan's work, and the planting is looking full and mature.

There have been no winter casualties to speak of and the planting has successfully knitted together and covered all bare soil.

As the majority of the plants used are foliage plants, with flowering plants being both fine and pale, the planting is an exercise in restraint and textural difference.

Even with this limitation of expression, or perhaps because of it, there are still moments of drama, and quiet.

The museum have had many compliments from memebsr of the public, many of whom have given the ultimate compliment, which is that the border looks as though ithas always been there.
