Wilderness Wood in East Sussex held mushroom foraging classes in October: the 62 acres of coppice woodland were purchased in the 1980s by Anne Yarrow and her husband Chris.

At the end of October the studio was invited to Chatsworth, together with the team that created the Laurent Perrier Chatsworth show garden at the Chelsea Flower Show, to celebrate our shared success and the beginning of the garden's relocation to Chatsworth.

At the start of August I travelled to Somerset with family and friends to visit the Piet Oudolf perennial meadow at Hauser & Wirth Gallery. This was a great chance to take in the late summer colours and textures of this beautiful planting scheme, and chat over its delivery and upkeep with Head Gardener Mark Dumbleton.

At the end of June the exhibition The Arts & Crafts House: Then & Now opened at Compton Verney in Warwickshire. As well as featuring archive and contemporary photographs of Folly Farm, the Lutyens and Jekyll property where Dan has been working for the past 6 years, Dan was also asked to create a site specific garden installation in the grounds inspired by the designs of William Morris.

In mid-June Dan visited Sissinghurst and Great Dixter over the same weekend. Both gardens were very influential on him as a plant-obsessed boy and student.
